Hampden Papers Adds 62" Webco DCS
Hampden Papers, manufacturers of fine converted coated papers and paperboard, and laminated film and foil, has added a Webco OHDCS (Overhead Duplex Center Surface) slitter to their equipment list.

"The Webco OHDCS has brought tremendous flexibility to our capabilities," said Mike Archambeault, plant manager.

The 62" shaftless self-loading unwind features a 50" duplex rewind with radial unloading was custom designed for Hampden's specific customer demands.

"Webco is one of the few out there who will work with you, even after the install, to make sure you get what you ordered and, most important, what you need," Archambeault said.
"They build an excellent machine, no doubt about that," he continued. "They modified our machine to fine tune it just for us. We do high quality foil laminations so precise slitting and rewinding is important to our customers."

The single Hampden Papers plant in Holyoke, Massachusetts features 33 manufacturing machines in a 400,000 square foot facility.

The Webco DCS is also available in trim widths up to 100"(2540 mm), with 50" (1270 mm) rewind, and maximum machine speeds of 2,500 FPM (760 MPM).

TDS MiniMax
So what does the MiniMax offer, what makes it special?
The traditional "smaller" slitter rewinders in use in many printers, packaging and converting companies are a compromise, not what was actually required but the best option available at the time. These machines are typically shafted center winders. Slit separation is a gamble at best with very unsatisfactory roll density and the control.

The Webco MiniMax is everything these traditional slitter rewinders are not!
It is a two drum surface winder with programmable rider roll and web tension offering excellent roll density control, an absolute necessity for today's printers. State of the art slitting section followed by a twin bowed roll system provides proven and positive slit separation techniques. No shafts! It is shaftless both in unwind and rewind. The integral shaftless floor pick-up unwind and the touch screen operator's station located on an articulating arm system offers an extremely efficient and compact design.

Compact! Competitively Priced! Ergonomic Design! Versatile! Innovative! Affordable!

Last but not least it's affordable!
With a few typical options the MiniMax comes with a price tag that equals or betters the price of those much less efficient shafted winders.

The maximum for the minimum investment!
